MEET MRS. HANDWORK
Colorful Chalks

Hi! My name is Mrs. Handwork and I am so happy that I am the new Reading Resource Teacher this school year. This is my 5th year teaching at St. Paul Catholic School but my 29th year teaching. I am so excited about working with so many of the wonderful St. Paul Students.

I received my teaching certificate from Michigan State University and my master's degree in Reading from Wayne State University. I love to teach reading and I could teach it all day. I can't wait to help your child become a better reader and expose them to lots of new reading adventures!

I grew up in Grosse Pointe and have lived here most of my life. I attended St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic School and then Grosse Pointe South High School. Other than spending 4 years in East Lansing at Michigan State University and 3 years in Colorado teaching, I have been a Grosse Pointer. I currently live in GP Farms with my husband (Pete), 3 children, (Caden is a Junior at MSU, Phoebe is a Freshmen at MSU and Whitney is a Sophmore at GPS!) and 2 dogs (Hazel and Bentley).

I love everything involved with Reading and am always willing to answer any questions.  Please feel free to contact me if you ever need anything!
